Twenty years ago in 1991, we moved to the Valley to be closer to Mexico for mission work. Since 2000, I have been in full-time ministry. The majority of the ministry has been in Mexico and Texas.

The biblical chalk drawings are an unusual way to present the gospel. Using special black light effects, a hidden picture appears.

Contact me to schedule revival services, vacation bible school, youth events, banquets or any special event. Services can be in Spanish, if needed.

Daytona, Florida

Four from our church, First Baptist Church Harlingen left Friday at 6 a.m. headed to Daytona, Florida. The team will meet with a few from Louisiana and continue. They will be working all week in the Baptist booth. To sign up for a chance to win a Harley, you listen to a three-minute testimony.

They rode motorcycles from South Texas and made it to Jenny, Louisiana the first day. The weather was bad so they couldn't travel on Saturday. Sunday they started again to finish the 1,200 mile trip.

What a great trip to Sturgis, South Dakota. There were 291 volunteers who shared Christ with 7,317 people with over 1,143 decisions for Christ! Let us know if you want to go next year.

Sturgis Update

As of Friday night, volunteers have shared Christ 7231 times with 1123 people accepting Christ as Lord and Savior.

Yesterday after the group finished the training, they went straight to the tent to begin. They were supposed to start their shift at 1:00 but they are short on volunteers. There were a total of 439 presentations with 62 decisions! After listening to a three minute presentation, the people can sign up for a free Harley motorcycle that the Dakota Baptist Convention is giving away.

My third day was the rest of the group's first day. Temps were around 104 with a heat index of around 117. There are three bike with 4 people. We will pick up one more bike in Nebraska who went early to visit family. We are hoping to make it into Sturgis late tomorrow which would allow us to rest Friday and get familiar with the area before starting Saturday. Excited about what the Lord is going to do.

We actually got it back together without any parts left over.

After leaving at 8:00 Monday, arrived in Dubach at 11:30pm. The next day was spent changing tires and brakes before the trip the next day.

Randy left this morning heading to Sturgis, South Dakota. He will join a group from Louisiana. They will be helping in the booth of Dakota Baptist Convention at a motorcycle rally. They will be witnessing to the people who come to the booth to sign up for a free motorcycle give away. The people know they will listen to a brief testimony before signing up for the motorcycle.

We want to thank Crossroads Baptist Church of The Woodlands for inviting us to join them in Irapuato, Mexico. There were 70+ people. VBS was held in various locations in the AM and PM. Construction teams worked in La Rocha church. Pastor conferences were held and also teams went to rehabilitation centers daily. Lots of seeds were planted and decisions made.

What a trip. We spent 36 hours trying to get to Haiti because of bad weather. Our group was assigned to build a small 12X14 foot house to see what the overall cost of the house would be. We were only able to get the walls up. Someone else will finish the roof. There are plans to build about 1,000 -2,000 of these little houses. We were only able to see just a little of the damage which occurred in Haiti. We did not have a chance to go into the center of town to see where the greatest amount of damage occurred. So many have been left homeless or their house or so damaged they really are not safe to live in. Many are afraid to stay in their homes and now live outside. We saw many tent cities all around town and in the outlying areas away from town. There is still extensive damage throughout the country. While we were there, a group from Mississippi was doing some cleanup and found a body inside the rubble. Haiti was already a very poor country, this will take them many years to get over this devastation.

I will be holding revival services at Burkeville, Texas, Sunday - Wednesday, March 21-24. This is Dee Ann's brother's church, Roy Parker, where he is the music director. Those of you who know Roy knows how much he loves to sing, play the guitar and piano.

Then the next Sunday, March 28, I will be drawing in Kirbyville and Call, Texas.

One last day before we head back to Merida for what we really came down here for. We have 4 more drawing services lined up. But what an amazing place Cozumel is. Such beautiful water. I had the opportunity to go scuba diving which I haven't actually done since my parents gave me scuba diving lessons for graduation from high school. The only diving I had done was salvage diving in water you couldn't see anything in. It was so nice! Please continue to pray the Lord will use the upcoming services to touch lives.

Left for Merida on Feb 25, 2010. We have done a business conference along with several drawings at different services. Several decisions have been made. On the road again...

This weekend we had three services; one in a home and two church services. There were around 9 decisions for Christ. One of the decisions was the grandmother of Rosalba's sister-in-law. They were so excited to see her make a decision for Christ. Rosalba's mom is very excited that some of her neighbors came to her house to see the drawings. She has been a great witness for over 33 years in her neighborhood. Some of her neighbors are looking for her for help with their problems. Since several of her neighbors made decisions for the Lord, she is now excited about beginning new discipleship classes for the new Christians.

Final plans are being made to return to Guadalajara in June with the motorcycle group. We are anticipating great things that the Lord will do. We also have numerous invitations to return for drawings.

Chalk art school was good as usual. I learned and practiced new drawings. It sure was cold though. I also got to draw at a couple of churches while in Gladewater.

We were invited to draw for a church in Matamoros. They were having special services because of Valentine's day. The special music was by Oscar Jesus who sings full time in the States and in Mexico.

We were glad to have friends from FBC Harlingen go with us, Matt and Ava. It was a good worship service.

We took a pre-trip getting ready for next year's motorcycle mission trip in June 2010. The purpose of this trip was to scout the roads, toll costs, hotels, etc.
